The issues are big and they are overwhelming. Poverty, oil spills, climate change, pollution, hunger, sick children, abuse, all of these things are big and they can make you feel powerless. Make you feel like a single person can’t do enough to make an impact. That’s why I believe we need to work together. I believe that working together we can build a better world one small step at a time.

In today’s busy world it’s hard to make time to find causes to support and then find the time to do the supporting. I want to make it easy for you. When you support Amakua Market by making a purchase (any purchase) We give 10% of our profits to charity and social causes.

In 2012 our primary focus will be on Epilepsy Research and Awareness. The other types of causes we will donate to are:

Domestic Violence Recovery, Shelters and Food Banks, Disaster Relief, Basic education for Children, Wildlife Preservation, Veterinary Service, Global Warming, Pollution, Reforestation, Marine Preservation, Recycling, Conservation, World Hunger, Clean Water, Recovery from addiction, Health related causes, Save our oceans, Animal abuse and cruelty.

This is not at all encompassing list basically, our goal is to support planet, animal and people loving organizations.
