Generalized Seizures

It’s been awhile and I’m feeling the call to talk about seizures:

What are Generalized Seizures? It’s when abnormal, excessive, electricity occurs throughout the whole brain at once. There is no apparent focal point of onset or warning beforehand. Generalized seizures alter consciousness and can be convulsive or non-convulsive.

What does this mean?

It means that a person having a seizure can be having a normal conversation one moment and slurring their words the next. It means they could be walking down the sidewalk one moment and into traffic the next. It means that they may or may not be having convulsions and could just seem disoriented.

It means that “drunk” person at the grocery store, stumbling and not making sense. They might not be drunk and they may need help. Pay attention please. -  That could be Bradyn someday and I like to believe that a well informed, loving soul will be around to help him when I’m not.
