Happy Christmas Eve Y’all!
Our Christmas Eve tradition is the Legendary Holidays at Westin La Cantera or as we call it Cowboy Christmas. My Dad brought his family, Kyle is in town for the weekend and a few of our friends met us there. As always it was a wonderful time.
First the kids listened to Cowboy “Makin Dust” from Bandera Texas tell Christmas Cowboy stories and sing Christmas songs.
Then we made ornaments
And decorated cookies for Santa (B is cool with Santa as long as I don’t suggest he go anywhere near him)
Then we got the boys to stand by the boots so I could compare this years picture
With last years picture
I can’t believe how much B has grown! Check out one more pic from last year.
And that was it. Then it was time for dinner and putting milk and cookies out for Santa and then bedtime hysterics in which B sobbed “but I CAN’T go to SLEEEEEP!”. I take full responsibility for the freak out. He was up way too late and had way too much fun, who wants to go to bed after a night like tonight?
It got really cold in San Antonio about 7 pm – Just in time for Christmas – The cold and the Christmas made me want to hear this.
Merry Christmas to All of you! I am so grateful for my family and my friends! Love you guys!
What did you do tonight?

That sounds like an amazing Christmas Eve tradition – I wish mine had more singing cowboys! And I love the idea of yearly boot photos, such a great way to make comparisons!
